This European Standard applies to new electric accessible goods only lifts with traction or positive drive and new hydraulic accessible goods only lifts; permanently installed in restricted areas and/or only used by authorised and instructed persons (users); serving fixed and permanent landing levels; having a load carrying unit made of a single load carrying area; designed for the transportation of goods only; moving along a fixed path (e. g. scissor lifts; lifts with guide rails) and inclined not more than 15° to the vertical; with rated speed not exceeding 1 m/s.This European Standard covers accessible goods only lifts with rated load exceeding 300 kg and not intended to move persons. This standard deals with all significant hazards; hazardous situations and events with the exception of those listed in below; relevant to accessible goods only lifts; when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer.
This standard gives guidance on writing the technical specification for the procurement of equipment for use in electricity generating stations (power stations). This Guide for procurement is not applicable to equipment for use in the nuclear reactor plant area of nuclear power stations. Other possible applications of such equipment have not been considered in the preparation of this Guide.
This British Standard specifies requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance and dismantling of newpermanently installed electrically powered vertical lifting platforms with thefollowing characteristics:? travelling vertically between predefined levels along a guided path wherethe inclination to the vertical does not exceed 15°;? supported or sustained by wire ropes, chains, rack and pinion, hydrauliccylinder (direct or indirect), screw and nut or scissors mechanisms;? having non-enclosed or partially enclosed liftways;? having non-enclosed or partially enclosed carriers;? having a rated speed that is not greater than 0.15 m/s;? having a travel distance that is not greater than 3.0 m;? sized for use with type A or type B wheelchairs conforming to BS EN 12183and/or BS EN 12184.It is applicable to lifting platforms that are intended primarily for the transportof persons with impaired mobility, with or without a wheelchair.NOTE 1 The lifting platforms specified in this standard can be used in domestic ornon-domestic premises, and can be installed indoors or outdoors. Their installation insome premises might not be practicable.NOTE 2 Although this British Standard is applicable to new lifting platforms, it canalso be used as guidance for the refurbishment and re-installation of existing liftingplatforms.
This European Standard applies to new electric accessible goods only lifts with traction or positivedrive and new hydraulic accessible goods only lifts, permanently installed in restricted areas and/or onlyused by authorised and instructed persons (users), serving fixed and permanent landing levels, having aload carrying unit made of a single load carrying area, designed for the transportation of goods only, movingalong a fixed path (e.g. scissor lifts, lifts with guide rails) and inclined not more than 15° to the vertical, withrated speed not exceeding 1 m/s.This European Standard covers accessible goods only lifts with rated load exceeding 300 kg and notintended to move persons. This standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events with the exception of thoselisted in 1.3 below, relevant to accessible goods only lifts, when they are used as intended and under theconditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
This European Standard covers the construction, requirements and particular test methods for flat, flexible PVC insulated and PVC sheathed cables, of rated voltage Uo/U 300/500 V, for use in passenger and goods lifts (elevators), and Uo/U 450/750 V for general purposes and for special applications such as hoists and travelling cranes.Cables of composite construction (for instance, cables with cores of different sizes) are not specified, but conditions are given for the inclusion of telecommunication units into the cables.
1.1 In general, this standard applies to automatic electrical controls for use in, on, or inassociation with equipment for household and similar use, including controls for heating,air-conditioning and similar applications. The equipment may use electricity, gas, oil, solidfuel, solar thermal energy, etc., or a combination thereof.1.1.1 This standard applies to the inherent safety; to the operating values, operating times, and operating sequences where such are associated with equipment safety; and to thetesting of automatic electrical control devices used in, or in association with, household orsimilar equipment. This standard is also applicable to controls for appliances within the scope of IEC 60335-1.Throughout this standard the word equipment means appliance and equipment.!This standard does not apply to automatic electrical controls intended exclusively forindustrial applications unless explicitly mentioned in the relevant Part 2.This standard is also applicable to individual controls utilized as part of a control system orcontrols which are mechanically integral with multifunctional controls having non-electricaloutputs.Automatic electrical controls for equipment not intended for normal household use, but whichnevertheless may be used by the public, such as equipment intended to be used by laymen inshops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard. This standard is also applicable to the safety and operating values of relays when used as controlsfor EN 60335 appliances. Additional requirements for the safety and operating values of relays, whenused as controls in appliances within the scope of EN 60335, are contained in Annex ZE.1.1.2 This standard applies to automatic electrical controls, mechanically or electricallyoperated, responsive to or controlling such characteristics as temperature, pressure, passageof time, humidity, light, electrostatic effects, flow, or liquid level, current, voltage, acceleration, or combinations thereof.1.1.3 This standard applies to starting relays, which are a specific type of automaticelectrical control, intended to switch the starting winding of a motor. Such controls may bebuilt into, or be separate from, the motor.1.1.4 This standard applies to manual controls when such are electrically and/ormechanically integral with automatic controls.Requirements for manual switches not forming part of an automatic control are contained in IEC 61058-1.1.2 This standard applies to controls with a rated voltage not exceeding 690 V and with arated current not exceeding 63 A.1.3 This standard does not take into account the response value of an automatic action of acontrol, if such a response value is dependent upon the method of mounting the control in theequipment. Where a response value is of significant purpose for the protection of the user, orsurroundings, the value defined in the appropriate household equipment standard or asdetermined by the manufacturer shall apply.1.4 This standard applies also to controls incorporating electronic devices, requirements forwhich are contained in annex H.This standard applies also to controls using NTC or PTC thermistors, requirements for whichare contained in annex J.
