This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to safet accessories guarding against excess pressure for pressure vessels in which an unacceptable wxcess pressure is prevented by the opening of safety valves of closing of safety shut-off valves.
This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to safety accessories guarding against excess pressure for pressure vessels in which an unacceptable excess pressure is prevented by the opening of safety valves or closing of safety shut-off valves.

This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to pressure-bearing accessory housings and safety accessory housings for pressure vessels and piping with a maximum allowable pressure (PS) exceeding 0,5 bar.Clauses 4 to 8 of this AD 2000-Merkblatt, excluding 6.4.1, do not apply to accessory housings in refrigeration and heat-pumping plant, see AD 2000-Merkblatt HP 801 No. 14 “Druckbehalter in Kalteanlagen und Warmepumpenanlagen” (Pressure equipment in refrigerating and heat-pumping plant).

This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to openings, closures and closure elements of pressure vessels. It contains requirements for the nature and dimensions of openings to enable inspections to be carried out. Requirements regarding the number and siting of openings are presented in Appendix 1 to this AD 2000-Merkblatt.Requirements for closures and closure elements are also given.Where other regulations apply to particular pressure vessels, these are given in the AD 2000-Merkbl?tter of the HP 801 series.
\"Easy-access\" openings and inspection openings shall above all permit an assessment to be made of the longitudinal and circumferential welds, and of points where there are particularly high stress concentrations and points at risk, at the inner faces of pressure vessels. Points where stresses are particularly high can be regarded as including corner welds, end-plate flange regions, and the areas surrounding large cut-outs. Points at risk include, for example, the liquid sump and vessel bottom, the region in the vicinity of the surface of the liquid, and points which - as experience has shown - are particularly subject to corrosion and erosion.Inspection openings may be necessary in addition to an \"easy-access\" opening in those circumstances where, for example, as a consequence of the presence of internals, moving about inside the vessel is insufficient on its own to permit an assessment to be made. The inspection openings provided in accordance with Clause 2 may be replaced by smaller openings; in the event of this being done, such openings shall then be provided in larger numbers and at suitable points.
The AD 2000 body of regulations can be applied to satisty the basic safety requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive, principally for the conformity assessment in accordance with Modules \"G\" and \"B+F\"
This AD 2000-Merkblatt is applicable for electrical, electronic and programmable electronic safety devices (summarized in this document under the term \"PCE-safety devices\"; i.e. process control engineering) which protect pressure equipment from exceeding their permissible limits. These PCE-safety devices prevent, in a reliable and sufficiently safe manner, the permissible operating conditions from being exceeded.
This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to the marking of pressure vessels. If other requirements apply to special pressure vessels, these are contained in AD 2000-Merkblatt A801.
This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to the marking of pressure vessels. If other requirements apply to special pressure vessels, these are contained in the HP 801 series of AD 2000-Merkbl?tter.
The B and S series of AD 2000-Merkbl?tter deal with design rules for pressure-bearing components of pressure vessels. Their application assumes that the W and HP series of AD 2000-Merkbl?tter as well as current engineering practice have been taken into consideration for the selection of the materials and their processing. See also AD 2000-Merkblatt G 1.The B and S 3 series of AD 2000-Merkbl?tter apply to predominantly static stresses. AD 2000-Merkbl?tter S 1 and S 2 also apply to alternating stresses.
The design rules below apply to cylindrical and shperical shells for pressure vessel shells and pipework subjected to internal overpressure.
The design rules are applicable to tubes for welding, e.g. according to din 2605 and bent tubes.
The AD 2000 body of regulations can be applied to satisfy the basic safety requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive, principally for the conformit assessment in accordance with Modules \"G\" and \"B\" +\"F\".
