　　GB/T 1845的本部分規(guī)定了聚乙烯(PE)熱塑性塑料材料的命名系統(tǒng)，該系統(tǒng)可作為分類基礎(chǔ)。 不同類型的聚乙烯熱塑性塑料材料用下列指定的特征性能的值以及推薦用途和(或)加工方法、重要性能、添加劑、著色劑、填料和增強(qiáng)材料等為基礎(chǔ)的一種分類系統(tǒng)加以區(qū)分： a) 密度; b) 熔體質(zhì)量流動(dòng)速率。 本部分適用于聚乙烯均聚物以及其他1-烯烴單體質(zhì)量分?jǐn)?shù)小于50%和帶官能團(tuán)的非烯烴單體質(zhì)量分?jǐn)?shù)不多于3%的共聚物。 本部分適用于常規(guī)為粉狀、顆?；蛩榱?，未改性或經(jīng)著色劑、添加劑、填料等改性的材料。 本部分不適用于母料和EPM橡膠。本部分也不適用于超高分子量聚乙烯(PE-UHMW)。超高分子量聚乙烯的命名和分類參見(jiàn)GB/T 21461.1-2008。 本部分不意味著命名相同的材料必定具有相同的性能。本部分不提供用于說(shuō)明材料特殊用途和(或)加工方法所需的工程數(shù)據(jù)、性能數(shù)據(jù)或加工條件數(shù)據(jù)。 如果需要，可按GB/T 1845的第2部分中規(guī)定的試驗(yàn)方法確定這些附加性能。 為了說(shuō)明某種聚乙烯熱塑性塑料材料的特殊用途或?yàn)榱舜_保加工的重現(xiàn)性，可以在字符組5中給出附加要求。
